Time to say goodbye!

Hi there everyone! Well, after almost one year since the launch of this lovely Community, it’s time for me to say adiós! It has been a fantastic adventure and a real pleasure getting to know all of you during this time. When I first started in this role after being in the gaming industry for years, I was worried whether or not I was going to be able to connect to people who worked in such a different field from mine. However, and from the very beginning, you guys showed me nothing but kindness. From the word “go” you participated in conversations, helped fellow members and shared your amazing ideas and expertise with us. I’m very proud of all we achieved together, and as I move on to new opportunities, I want to tell you the impact this community has had on me will always remain.😊Thank you!

Recommend us a book!

Hi everyone, Well guys, we made it! Last two days of January. I don’t know about you, but for me the month has felt a bit like this: January felt eternal  However, January is also the month for setting New Year’s resolutions, and whether you believe in them or not, striving to have better habits is a great way to start the year. One of my resolutions is to read more. I know, I know, it’s a bit cliché but in these times when we are all addicted to the dopamine hits social media provides, trying to read a good book before bed feels almost like a rebellion. So, dear commercetools Community, please share your favourite books with us in the comments. Hi there everyone, How is 2025 treating you so far? In my case, I welcomed 2025 with a very positive attitude, glass of champagne in hand and a long list of resolutions written in a little notebook 🥂. After a couple of very hard years when I did not try to accomplish anything, 2025 was going to be MY year, right off the bat. Then I got sick. 😅 Classic.  And my whole family got sick and we are still not completely fine. What are you grateful for? (Work Edition)

Holiday Season in the Community! 🎅🏻

Hey everyone! December is officially here! Happy Thanksgiving folks! 🦃

Hello everybody! Well, the holiday season is officially here, the end of 2024 is fast approaching (yeah, I know it’s a cliché, but where has time gone? I swear it was spring two weeks ago 😯). Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to all our American community members! Hope you have a great day filled with joy,many things to be grateful, nice quality time with friends and family and plenty of turkey. Do you have any special traditions? Hi there! We spend a third of our lives at work, so making the experience as pleasant as possible it’s key to surviving all those hours glued to our screens and keyboards. Some people light candles, others swear by their standing desks and mini treadmills combinations and others simply like to listen to music or relaxing sounds. However, not everybody thinks the same. Call me crazy, but sometimes a lot of background noise (TV on, a podcast, etc) really helps me focus. Other times, I prefer nice, soft music. Total silence? Hey there everyone! 😎We have reached the end of 2024 and the busiest and most exciting months of the year for many businesses are here. There’s much to do, plenty to prepare and probably many long days and nights are ahead of you. Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas can feel like a giant roller coaster with no working breaks. And it got me thinking, do you guys have any traditions to make this time of the year more bearable? 🤔Back when I was a young student, I used to work for a bookshop here in the UK called Waterstones. During the busy Christmas period, we would get free drinks at the cafe. One of my coworkers and I made a pact of having a drink together during our breaks and talking about anything BUT work. It helped us to survive the long hours and the (sometimes) crazed clients. Tell us, what are you Black Friday/Christmas traditions? Do you order pizza for the whole team? Happy Halloween! Share your developer horror stories

Happy Halloween! 👻Being a developer it’s definitely not for the faint-hearted: to be a good one, you need to think on your feet, have a great memory, know several programming languages and so on. It doesn’t sound scary right? Oh, but we all know that there are days (or nights) when no ghosts, no zombies and no witches are as scary as a bad day working as a dev: bosses who want you to release updates that are not ready yet, colleagues who rename new fields in database tables and make the whole project disappear. A friend of mine worked in a food delivery app and his team brought down the whole Asian market for a few hours. It was the longest day of his life according to him, and he stills shudders when he thinks about it. So, what are your developer horror stories? Share them in the comments… if you dare!

Hello ladies and gents! I don’t know about you, but I love music. I love listening to music while working, cooking or going for a run.
