Share with us your favourite Black Friday anecdotes or traditions!

Hey there everyone! 😎We have reached the end of 2024 and the busiest and most exciting months of the year for many businesses are here. There’s much to do, plenty to prepare and probably many long days and nights are ahead of you. Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas can feel like a giant roller coaster with no working breaks. And it got me thinking, do you guys have any traditions to make this time of the year more bearable? 🤔Back when I was a young student, I used to work for a bookshop here in the UK called Waterstones. During the busy Christmas period, we would get free drinks at the cafe. One of my coworkers and I made a pact of having a drink together during our breaks and talking about anything BUT work. It helped us to survive the long hours and the (sometimes) crazed clients. Tell us, what are you Black Friday/Christmas traditions? Do you order pizza for the whole team? Happy Halloween! Share your developer horror stories

Happy Halloween! 👻Being a developer it’s definitely not for the faint-hearted: to be a good one, you need to think on your feet, have a great memory, know several programming languages and so on. It doesn’t sound scary right? Oh, but we all know that there are days (or nights) when no ghosts, no zombies and no witches are as scary as a bad day working as a dev: bosses who want you to release updates that are not ready yet, colleagues who rename new fields in database tables and make the whole project disappear. A friend of mine worked in a food delivery app and his team brought down the whole Asian market for a few hours. It was the longest day of his life according to him, and he stills shudders when he thinks about it. So, what are your developer horror stories? Share them in the comments… if you dare!

Hi everyone, Hope you’re having a great week so far!  You might not know this about me, this being a young community, but I love coffee. It’s not only the flavour that I like, it’s the fact that having a coffee is the perfect excuse to catch up with friends, to have a break during a busy day, a boost of energy when we need it the most. ☕ I also love that buying someone a coffee is a nice way of saying “thank you”. What's your favourite song at the moment?

Hello ladies and gents! I don’t know about you, but I love music. I love listening to music while working, cooking or going for a run. Does it happen to you that you feel like you’re paying for several streaming services and yet, you have nothing to watch? 😒This keeps happening to me, so I'd like to ask for your help. 🙌🏻 Please recommend us your current favourite TV show (or you favourite TV show of all time, even better because we'd have several seasons ahead of us!).  The best TV show I’ve watched this year is definitely Shogun. What's your favourite season?

Hello everyone! 🍁Autumn officially started last week and with it, the days are getting shorter and colder, the air crisper, and the boots and jumpers are making their grand comeback, while we're stowing away our swimsuits and shorts. Coffee or tea? Which one is better?

Hello everybody! 😎Some of you have told me you are very busy with work: the days are long, the projects never ending, and several deadlines are looming threateningly on the horizon. I don’t know about you, but when life gets super busy, a good cup of coffee can be lifesaver. I like mine black with a bit of sugar, early in the morning. I am surrounded by tea lovers though: after all, I live in the United Kingdom. While I occasionally enjoy drinking tea and I understand the appeal, it doesn’t give me the boost I need while working. So, let’s settle this once and for all:

Favourite food or dish? 🍲

The smell of baked bread early in the morning, the sweet memory of the dessert your mom used to make you when you were little, a simple mac and cheese shared with a roommate after a long day at the office, food is one of those things that connect us all! 🍕🥗🍱Personally, I love food. I love going out to eat with friends, I enjoy inmmensenly when I try to cook a new recipe at home, andI have fond memories of cooking with my family during Christmas time. So, I wanted to ask you: what’s your favourite food or dish? I am coming down with a cold so at the moment my favourite food is a good soup!  🍜 Just had some beef pho with a colleague and it gave me enough strength to finish the work day. Please your favourite food or dish in the comments! 😉

Hey ladies and gents, I wanted to ask you, how do you stay organised? Because let’s be honest, a bit improvisation and adventure never hurt anybody, but there’s no better feeling than knowing you’re on top of your to-do list and both your personal and work life are organised. These are some of the things I do that help me keep things under control:I write down everything I need to do. 📝  I have a pretty good memory, but modern life = a hundred tasks, and it’s better to be safe than sorry!  I ask for help. 🤝🏻 You can’t do everything all the time and sometimes delegating or asking for help with a task is the best way to get it done. So, what do you guys do to stay organised? Happy Thursday ladies and gents! So, summer is (almost) here. 😎 Well, we hope it is actually coming wherever you are because here in the UK there are no signs of it yet, just our classic combo of rain and clouds! But I digress, now that is getting hotter and the days are longer, what are you planning to do this summer?
