How to use Zones to group specific regions within a country?

Hi everyone, I’m pretty new with CommerceTools and learning. I did a Learning Check on this learning module: https://docs.commercetools.com/learning-model-your-business-structure/model-your-business/learning-check I’d like to ask about this question:The correct answer is 2nd option: by using Zone to group specific regions.But when I tried to create a Zone, there is no way to specify region for it - only able to select country, do I miss anything here?  It would be great if you can help. How to keep some Product Attributes set during Product import

Hello!I have stumbled upon the fact that a Product Import will remove any values that are not included in the product definitions.For context, we are running a Product Draft import via import containers. All product data comes from various external systems. Recently we added a product attribute that needs to be handled via direct product import in the Merchant Center by the business users. As mentioned in the docs, this attribute is reset with every Product import that runs via the containers, because this particular value is not provided during that process.I am thinking of fetching these values ahead of the nightly product import, then including them in the draft definitions but my gut says there must be a better way, it’s just that I can’t think of any at the moment.Has anyone had this case before? Modelling modifiers/addons of products

Hey there, I’m currently planning our data model for an upcomig project and was wondering what good approaches to modelling modifiers/addons are. So requirements are basically this:We want to sell a dish that has some base ingredients you cannot take away (i.e. Pasta Bolognese) You should be able to choose certain things attached to it (for example pasta type: Spaghetti, Rigatoni etc.) You should be able to choose additional items, for example: Extra Cheese, More Sauce, Extra Meatballs, etc. (it’s pretty generic and makes more sense when you think about a bowl for example) My first thought was to model it with 2 different product types (Dish and Modifier/Addon). You would then add them all the to the cart and the line item would have a custom field to hold the reference to the “main” dish line item. But unfortunately that is not super clean already, but it’s also not allowed to have the same SKU in a cart in multiple line items.So I could have a big json field in a custom field to hold

HighPrecisionMoney prices on Orders

Hi, Is there a option to store HighPrecisionMoney on Orders? Article has a HighPrecisionMoney but all the calculations on order/cart are rounded and stored as CentPrecisionMoney. Our use case is that we would need to export orders to external systems and we could have rounding issues when we reimport orders or need to sync them. Regards, Drazen

Commercetools vs. Observability

Hi everyone,we are currently looking at implementing tracing with OpenTelemtry. There is some documentation regarding doing this with OpenTelemetry: https://docs.commercetools.com/sdk/observability/opentelemetrySadly, it is not clearly stated what’s even possible and/or implemented.Are requests fully e2e traceable? Example: If our backend sends a trace ID and we receive a callback later, will that callback contain the trace ID? Is W3C as standard used? Thanks!

Leveraging external customer OAuth instead of the password flow

Hi Everyone,Is it possible to do external OAuth (SSO) to fetch the customer specific access token?I would like to do external-auth instead of password flow suggested in the documentation (/customers/token?grant_type=password&username=&password=) I am not sure this documentation refers to project specific or commercetools customer specific integration.https://docs.commercetools.com/api/authorization#requesting-an-access-token-using-an-external-oauth-server

Re-using Merchant Center as Admin Panel for Sellers

Hi everyone,I’m exploring commercetools to build a B2B eCommerce platform for a client and have a question regarding the Merchant Center. I’ve noticed that it offers various customization options and was wondering if it can be repurposed as an admin panel for sellers. Specifically, I’d like to know:Can the Merchant Center be customized for individual sellers to manage their products and orders?If so, is it possible to brand the admin panel with the seller's logo, color scheme, and other brand elements?Looking forward to any insights or recommendations on this! Thanks in advance!

What's underneath commercetools?

I was telling a colleague about commercetools. It is in his nature to ask many questions which I was happy to answer from my experince with commercetools.However, there was one question I could not find an answer to: What programming language does commercetools use under the hood? What other technologies does it use?Of course, with API first that doesn’t really matter. It is however interesting to know!Side note: I then talked to another colleague who also uses commercetools - we noticed that even the common signs you get when using an API that hint towards a language (e.g. certain formatting in error messages) don’t exist in commercetools. So congrats on a job well done!

Merchant Center CSV Import

Hi, I’m trying to do an CSV product import with the Merchant Center import functionality. I’m having issue with localised set attributes. I tried multiple combinations but I didn’t find a working example for localised set/text field. Attributes are defined as text, localised and set, e.g. “specifications” attribute. I tried the following:  attributes.specifications.en.*.key attributes.specifications.keyattributes.specifications.en.1.keyattributes.specifications.en.  Any help would be welcome. Regards, Drazen

Frontend extension runner not available

Hello!Have you ever encountered that the extension runner in the Frontend solution is not available during Netlify build? And if so, how are you (consistently) getting over this issue?It used to happen from time to time and I would usually merge a dummy commit in the branch which would trigger a new build. In the past I’ve also had tests fail in the pipeline (Studio CI) but it wouldn’t show in the CI dashboard. This case would also make the Netlify build fail with the same reason, but this time it’s not the case because I can see my branch pipeline finished successfully.Also, interestingly enough, it’s only failing in one environment (staging). This time the extension is simply not accessible, but I’ve had cases where the version was not a match, or even the extension was responding but the short commit hash was undefined (it was still seen as a miss-match)   This time it’s quite stubborn because I’ve tried commits, new branches, rebases, manually triggering the build from Netlify, to

How to create custom Graphql Mutation ?

I want to create a simple custom graphql mutation but I am not sure about the steps. When I refer the internet, it is mentioned that we need to define the schema first then we can use the custom mutation. Also, it is mentioned, in merchant center, there is a Graphql settings where we can define the schema but i cannot see such settings in Merchant center.Can you please help me with the steps ?Thanks in Advance.

Regarding PHP SDK Version

I can see Commercetools has version 1 and 2 of PHP SDK. I am new to Commercetools, so I choose version 2 SDK and installed the SDK using composer command as per https://docs.commercetools.com/sdk/php-sdk-getting-started#install-the-php-sdk but I can only see the Vendor folder however when I clone the github repository https://github.com/commercetools/commercetools-sdk-php-v2 I can see more files and folders. So I want to understand which one I should use for the start. Please guide. Thanks in Advance.

Can we customize the Merchant Center using PHP ?

I am new to Commercetools and I created a free trial to explore it. Once I signed up for free trial, I got the access to Merchant Center and I installed the sunrise SPA demo data for testing. I placed one test order from SPA but in Merchant Center, I cannot see the order edit feature. Then I got to know from the below link that the order edit is not possible from Merchant Center and it can be through Custom Application. I have one question here, basically I am a PHP developer, and I saw there is a PHP SDK available in commercetools. Can I create a custom application using PHP or that has to be done from React or JS as I can see here it mentioned React Js knowledge is needed.https://docs.commercetools.com/merchant-center-customizations/custom-applicationsPlease help me to understand this. Thanks in Advance.

Has anyone upgraded from @commercetools/platform-sdk version 4 to version 7?

Hi Community,We are currently using the SDK @commercetools/platform-sdk version ^4.10.0.I would like to upgrade to the latest version to utilize the Product Search feature in the SDK.Has anyone already done this upgrade?Do you know if the new version is backward compatible?Regards,Obed

Order Editing in Merchant Center

Hi, Is it possible to enable order editing in the Merchant Center? The use case I am looking at here is that some of our orders require vetting - our Customer Service team opens an order and checks if the right part (we are in auto spare parts business) was selected by the customer. In case it does not the vehicle, they remove it and replace it with a different part (SKU).I am researching an option to have this use case handled in Merchant Center - any thoughts anyone?(for the sake of this discussion I would leave the payment element complexity)

Copying Project Contents

Hi Everyone,Just joined the community and will start by posting a question to which I guess we all know the answer, i.e “Is there a way we can copy entire Commercetools project content to another Commercetools Project?”I know the answer is No as of now, but is there any updates or any alternative wayout to attain the same ?
