Hi everyone!

Another Thursday, another off-topic, to say good-bye to the working week and say hi to a bit of fun and relaxation. 😎

So, this week is about two old rivals: Apple versus Android. In your opinion, which one is better? Impopular opinion, but I’m an Android girl myself: it offers a bit more flexibility and customisation.

Ladies and gents, Team Apple or Team Android and why?👇🏻

When I was younger I was absolutely “Team android” for many reasons. I got pulled in by the open-source aspect of it, high customisability, huge choice of devices in different price ranges and form factors (where did the phones with physical QWERTY keyboards go?! 😥 ). I loved really making the phone my own. I remember getting a new Android smartphone and installing a modded system on it before I even used the stock one 😊
That said I have moved over to the “Apple team”. Now I don’t have so much time and patience to tinker with my phone, I just want it to work. Also the ecosystem loured me in. As more apple devices started showing up at our house it became more apparent that they just work better together. 😊

Ahhh, the Apple ecosystem that how they got us all. 😐 At home we have 2 personal MacBooks and a tablet, and we have been really tempted to get the phones so it’s all connected but like you said, Android phones are cheaper so we haven’t done it… yet. 😉 It’s like a zombie movie, we know it will eventually happen, we are just delaying the inevitable.

Do you use a MacBook for work? I am not sure what tech people prefer.

I use whatever my employer provides 😉. But for the past few years it has indeed been a MacBook. At the beginning I did feel like a caveman learning how to use a computer, but it has grown on me 😊

@Mariusz Janas I feel you, I didn’t use a Mac until 2020, the whole interface drove me crazy and I was so slow my colleagues were not impressed. Now I use a Mac for work and a PC for gaming, which keeps me from getting too used to either!

Team android for phones.

Apple for tablets and laptops

Nearly the same for me. Android for phones, Apple for laptops (Macbook Pro).

I haven’t used a tablet in years…. What would be the use-case for someone who has both a phone and a laptop??
